1998-99, Selected by the National Institute of Justice, U.S. Dept. of Justice, to serve on the Technical Working Group for Eyewitness Evidence, a task force comprised of law enforcement agents, research psychologists, prosecutors and defense counsel, established for the purpose of creating the first national guide for law enforcement for interviewing eyewitnesses to crime.

Selected by Chief Judge Richard P. Matsch to serve on a seven member task force of lawyers and judges to form the Faculty of Federal Advocates for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Faculty inaugurated in 1997.

Selected by the United States Sentencing Commission to present oral testimony on the federal drug sentencing guidelines at the August 12, 1996 hearing of the Sentencing Commission in Denver, Colorado.
